Make a chant

We sit down together, and whatever you're carrying becomes something you can sing. It takes a conversation and an afternoon.

Agapic Chants was a magical experience. It transformed one of my deepest sorrows… into a poem that I was here to express in the world. Singing it together with Nathan helped move the transformation through my entire system.

What it costs

Exploratory callfree
Prep session and chant session€300
Recorded at home — optional+€200
Recorded in a studio — optional+€1,700

A recording is arranged and produced properly, which is why it costs what it does. Plenty of chants never get recorded, and lose nothing by it. What happens to yours is something we decide together.

What this is not…

This is not a replacement for professional therapy or an experience of instant healing. It's a tool that you can use in your spiritual practice, and a gift that you give to others. If you don't have much experience with spirituality or feelings, I recommend that we go into an accompaniment coaching relationship for a while and work up to making a chant together. Either way, let's talk.

Start with a conversation
A.J. Bond

We mapped a recent professional conflict back to some much deeper issues and then transformed those into an empowering sense of being reborn. And then, in a surprising twist — Nathan and I wrote a song about it!

Ask about a session

Tell me a little about what's on your mind and I'll write back myself. The first conversation is free and costs you half an hour. Accompaniment coaching starts the same way.

You might be wondering

If you can talk, you can chant. Whatever's stopping you usually isn't about pitch — and chanting works with that directly.

This wasn't a one off. I can think of 3 or 4 other times over the past year that interacting with Nathan and his work has done some significant course-consolidation in my life... I can definitely recommend working with him in his Agapic Chants work.

About Nathan

I've been writing songs since I was 13, and I've spent the years since split between music and a quieter track: a doctorate in the sociology of religion, time in monasteries, and training in how people work through what's hard. I make songs with people, and then we sing them.

There's a longer version of this

Now and then I run retreats, where a group does this together over several days. Same work, more time, collaborating with other teachers, and we make chants as a group.

About the retreats →

Even across the darkness, we can hear each other sing.
